Grab Bars
- 1 bath on the entry-level shall have grab bar blocking
- If there is no bath on the entry-level, then 2nd or 3rd floor
- ≥ 2″x8″ @ 32″-39.25″
- WC on both side walls or 1 side and back wall
- Shower blocking shall be continuous at all wall framing
- The tub and combo tub/shower shall be continuous on each end and back wall. The back wall shall be 6″ above the tub rim
- Exceptions: pre-fab enclosures with integrated grab bars and free-standing tubs
Electrical Switch/Recep Heights
- 15″-48″ from the finished floor
- Exceptions: Dedicated receptacles – floor receptacles – at windows
Interior Doors (Effective 7/1/24)
- 1 bath and 1 bedroom door on entry-level shall have a net clear opening of 32″ with the door at 90 degrees
- If no bed/bath on the entry-level, then the 2nd or 3rd floor
